Dr. Amy Munsterman-Wills
I’m a second-generation chiropractor originally from Brookings, SD. I’ve been under consistent chiropractic care my entire life, and it has shaped not only my health, but also my understanding of what true wellness means. From a young age, I was interested in healthcare—but I knew I didn’t want to serve people by simply giving them medicine. While there is a time and place for medicine, I wanted to help people in a way that honors the body’s God-given design.
Chiropractic does just that. As Dr. Fred Barge often said, “Medicine is the study of disease and what causes man to die. Chiropractic is the study of health and what causes man to live.” I have experienced that truth in my own life: strong immunity, resilience, and adaptability, all without chronic health struggles. Chiropractic doesn’t add anything to the body—it simply removes interference so the body can do what it was created to do.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from South Dakota State University, then completed my Doctorate of Chiropractic with Sports Emphasis Honors at Northwestern Health Sciences University. While I began with a strong interest in sports care, my passion has expanded to caring for families—especially moms and kids. I’m currently pursuing pediatric certification and advanced perinatal training to better support patients through pregnancy, infancy, and childhood.
One of my favorite quotes from Dr. Barge is, “The power that made the body heals the body—it happens no other way.” I believe that power comes from God. We are made in His image, created with incredible complexity and an innate intelligence designed to keep us healthy. But when there is interference in the nervous system, the body cannot function the way it was intended. Chiropractic care removes that interference, restoring clear communication between the brain and body, and allowing the body to work as God created it to—healing, adapting, and thriving.
Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and family (especially my nieces!), staying active through boxing and running, drawing, and exploring new places.
